The Answers

Q1.  Can I provide my own alcohol?
No, Walkabout Creek is fully licensed and does not offer BYO facilities.

Q2.  Are prices exclusive of GST?
All prices listed in Walkabout Creek brochures are exclusive of GST.

Q3.  Do you cater for special dietary needs?
Yes, dietary requirements are catered for. Guests requiring special meal will be specifically catered for according to their needs. Please discuss your needs with your event coordinator.

Q4.  Is there accommodation at Walkabout Creek?
There is no accommodation available at Walkabout Creek. The closest accommodation is located in the Brisbane CBD or Southbank.

Q5.  Is there public transport to and from Walkabout Creek?
Brisbane City Council buses run hourly to Walkabout Creek, 7 days a week. Please check bus timetables for set times.

Q6.  Is Walkabout Creek open everyday?

Walkabout Creek is open everyday except New Years Day, Good Friday and Christmas Day.

Walkabout Creek Wildlife Centre is open from 9am to 4.15pm daily

Green Tree Frog Cafe Monday to Friday – 10am to 2pm
Saturday 10am to 3pm
Sunday 8.30am to 3pm


Q7.  Can I bring in an outside caterer?
Walkabout Creek is operated by Cuisine on Cue, a full service catering company, therefore no outside caterers ma y be used onsite.

Q8.  Can I provide my own decorations?
Yes, you may provide your own decorations for the receptions room. We do offer full event themeing services, please discuss your visions with our event team.

Q9.  What is the minimum guest numbers required?
We require a minimum of 50 guests for each function, we can still accommodate e groups under this but extra staffing charges will apply.

Q10.  Do I need to hire a wedding/event coordinator?
No, our event team provide all event coordination services required to make it the perfect private or corporate event.

Q11.  Can you accommodate large groups for Sunday Breakfast?
We can accommodate large groups for breakfast, please contact us to arrange a booking.
