The Ceremony: Lakeview Stage
Kirbie and Kirsty tied the knot in a beautiful lakeside ceremony at Walkabout Creek’s idyllic Lakeview Ceremony Stage. Featuring native wildlife, lush greenery, and tranquil sounds of the forest, the happy couple described their choice of ceremony location as, “warm, relaxed and very romantic.”
The couple and stylist, Beautiful Wedding and Events, chose contemporary styling with a rustic twist, with the bride and bridesmaids carrying beautiful floral bouquets of blush and maroon roses, greenery and native florals.
Guests watched the ceremony from the long timber benches of the Lakeview Ceremony Stage, while the rustic timber arbour and stunning Enoggera reservoir formed the backdrop for the moving ceremony.
After the ceremony the guests made their way to the Ferntree Room, while the couple and bridal party took a walk through the beautiful natural surrounds of the rainforest, so Lightsmith Images could capture their priceless memories on film.
The Reception: Ferntree Room
The reception was held in the Ferntree Room, a
treetop paradise with 180 degree views of the native rainforest, reservoir and tropical bird aviary. The beautiful blush and maroon colour scheme was incorporated into the reception space, complemented by crisp white tablecloths and large, decorative letters provided by Star Hire.
Cuisine on Cue treated guests to grazing stations and canapés at the start of the evening, followed by share plates of Darling Downs chicken tenderloin skewers, pilsner braised brisket pie with mac and cheese crust, maple glazed duck breast, and slow cooked Kilcoy beef feather blade with mashed turnips and roast garlic jus.
Following the savory items, Cuisine on Cue presented a dessert station ladened with passionfruit curd tartlets, chocolate brownies, chocolate truffles, petite cakes and sweets.
After dinner and moving speeches, guests danced the night away to live music on the Ferntree Room dance floor until the brides made their exit.
