Sarah and Daniel’s rainforest wedding was held on The Deck at Walkabout Creek with guests enjoying a banquet reception in the majestic Banksia Room, with views of the surrounding treetops.
The ceremony
The ceremony was initially planned to be held at the Lakeview stage but was relocated to the stunning undercover deck due to weather forecasts. The newlyweds said their vows under the elegantly styled wooden arbour, draped with white fabric and featuring a silk floral centrepiece, overlooking the treetops and lake.
After the ceremony, group photos were taken before the bridal party left for photos around the lake. The guests enjoyed pre-reception drinks and canapes on The Deck as the sunset.
The reception
The wedding reception was held in the Banksia Room. The space was styled in a classic glamourous theme with black lantern centrepieces, native florals, gold candles and twinkling fairy lights creating a romantic ambiance. Six round tables, plus the bridal table were styled with white linen tablecloths and accompanied by wooden cross-back chairs.
Guest enjoyed a wedding banquet featuring mains of 18-hour beef brisket with Swiss mushrooms, parsnip whip, truffle jus and baked barramundi, heirloom tomato, and bocconcini pearls. The mains were accompanied by steamed greens with roast garlic dressing, a salad of roasted sweet potato, halloumi, and cranberry with a mustard dressing, and potato salad dressed with pecorino mayonnaise and fresh herbs
The wedding cake was served on platters for dessert following the first dance.
