Ceremony FAQs.

Can I have just my ceremony here?

Friday, Saturdays and Sundays we do not offer ceremony only bookings, sorry! They are reserved for weddings that also have a reception.

Monday to Thursdays we welcome ceremonies for less than 50 people as elopements! Check out our elopement packages.

Where do we go to take photos?

We can provide you with tips for the best locations near the venue. Your photographers can use this as a guide, but don’t be surprised if they suss out spaces of their own, as the time of day and season can affect the quality of light and therefore affect the suitability of these locations.

Some of best spots are “off the beaten track”. You may wish to pack a bag with flat shoes for all the girls, and a white towel/ cloth (something that will blend with the dresses) to protect your outfits if you need to sit on the ground or another surface.

View our gallery here.

What will my guests do when we are taking photos?

Each package includes grazing boards for guests to eat prior to the reception. You may opt to start the beverage package at this time to get the festivities going (which is an additional $11pp), or you can choose to have cash bar for guests to purchase their own drinks over this period.

If your photographer suggests longer than an hour for wedding photos, you may wish to add additional catering for guests to occupy themselves with over this extended period.

View our optional extras here.

Can we have a ceremony rehearsal?

Yes! Anytime we do not have a wedding a rehearsal is permitted and complimentary. Please be in touch with your co-ordinator to book one in.

Is power supplied in the ceremony spaces?

The Lakeview Ceremony Stage and The Lawn do not have power available, so your celebrant will need to bring a battery-operated portable PA system. Don’t stress, all our recommended celebrants own them!

What music do I need for my ceremony?

It is always nice to set the mood as your guests arrive to your ceremony, so having some light background music is always an effective touch. You may need to assign a trusted friend or relative to control the music for you, please discuss this with your celebrant. They will find it useful if you separate your music into playlists for the different parts of your ceremony, labelled as such: 1. Pre-Ceremony (30-45mins – easy-listening music, think Ed Sheeran, John Mayer, Adele) 2. Procession (1 song you will walk down the aisle to) 3. Signing the Registry (3 songs – this takes longer than you think!) 4. Recession (1 song – happy, celebratory) Alternatively, you can hire musicians to play.

Can I throw confetti at my ceremony?

Bubbles and ribbon wands are a great idea! If we have organised a carpet or aisle runner at your ceremony, confetti of any kind is not permitted. Sadly, petals can stain, and small leaves get stuck in the carpet fibres.  If you do not have a carpet, a small amount of natural leaf confetti or light-coloured petals are permitted. Artificial and biodegradable confetti are not permitted due to being in a National Park. We ask for a small amount only, as your confetti will be blown into the gardens and will be visible at other weddings.

What do we do if it rains?

As a team, we decide the location of your ceremony about 2 hours before your ceremony is due to start. You are to provide the contact name and number of the best person for your coordinator to call and discuss with. Ultimately the decision is yours (you can do it outside under umbrellas!) but we will provide expert advice and a complimentary set-up undercover if need be.

Is there wheelchair access to the ceremony spaces?

Yes, our Lakeview stage is accessible although the pathway can be a bit bumpy. The Lawn has vehicle access and is flat from the car park to the lawn. The Deck is the easiest location for wheelchair access. Please note we do not supply or hire wheelchairs.

Can I have my dog at the ceremony or during photos?

As we are located inside a National Park, unfortutantely there is a strict no dog policy.
